Certifications: Students will obtain a globally recognised certificate with an option of Food Safe Certification and Serving it Right certification, essential credentials for the hospitality sector in Canada.

The hospitality industry is rapidly expanding, offering numerous opportunities for graduates to thrive in various fields. The Business Hospitality Management program at Pacific Link College RAK Campus provides a comprehensive pathway for students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to excel in a wide range of hospitality business management careers. This program, developed in collaboration with highly qualified and experienced industry professionals, ensures that students receive the most current and in-depth education in the hospitality world.

The 10 theory business hospitality management courses are provided in a blended form, via classroom, distance education, and applicable activities (i.e. guest speakers, and field trips). It also includes a Internship placement to apply the knowledge and skills gained in class.

Study Abroad Option

Students have the unique opportunity to start their program in the UAE and complete it in Canada, providing an international perspective and experience in both regions.

Internship Opportunities

Internship placements are available both in the UAE and Canada, allowing students to choose where they want to gain their practical experience.

  • Qualification : Associate Diploma | Co-op Diploma
    Duration: 1 Year | 2 Years | 3-4 Years
    • Eligibility: 19 Years old | Higher Secondary | Diploma | Undergraduate students
    • Language requirement:
        • English 12 (pass); or
        • IELTS 6.0 (5.5 Academic); or
        • TOEFL 60-78; or
        • PTE Academic (Minimum 46 Overall); or
        • CLB 7; or
        • CAEL 50; or
        • CELPIP 7; or
        • Duolingo 95-100 (duolingo.com/applicants); or
        • College entrance test (63% minimum); or equivalent

Programme Structure

Semester Details
01
6 Months of classroom instruction at PLC covering Academic Writing, Public Speaking – Presentation Skills, and Project Marketing – Advertising. The focus will also include Tourism and Hospitality in UAE, and Supervision in the Hospitality Industry.
02
6 months of work-study at the industry partner’s hospitality establishment focusing on practical skills in hospitality supervision, customer service, and marketing strategies. This hands-on experience will reinforce classroom learning and provide real-world applications.
03
6 Months of classroom instruction at PLC RAK focusing on advanced hospitality management techniques, including Hospitality Sales and Marketing, Managing Hospitality Human Resources, and Career Development. Additional subjects include Digital Branding and Business Research. Opportunity to continue the third semester in Canada.
04
6 months of work-study at the industry partner’s hospitality establishment in UAE/ Canada with a focus on leadership roles and management responsibilities. Capstone project on developing a comprehensive business plan for a hospitality venture, and End Practical Exam.
